The second of our York Feminist Reading Groups will be on Thursday 19th September. We will be meeting at 7pm at the Golden Ball on Cromwell Road.

We will be discussing ‘How Was It for You? – Pleasure and Performance in Sex Work’ by Jo Doezma.

Providing an alternative viewpoint, We will also be reading a chapter from Not for Sale: Feminists Resisting Prostitution and Pornography – “In and out: a survivor’s memoir of stripping” by Taylor Lee. You can read it for free on Google books at this link: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Gnc1pzXbG_YC&lpg=PP1&pg=PA56#v=onepage&q&f=false.

Hope to see you there!
