Meeting 22.12.13

This Sunday 22nd December is the second of our twice-monthly meetings.

CHANGE OF VENUE – Please note that although we have moved our regular venue for our Sunday meetings, on 22nd December we have a temporary change of venue and will be meeting in Kafenion café (on Goodramgate) at 11.00am. We’ll be back in the Seahorse Hotel in the new year.

All women are welcome to join us, and are more than welcome to bring their children. Though we are unable to provide childcare, we will endeavour to support those women who would like to attend with their children – on the understanding that we allow an open space for feminist discussion, which might include topics that parents may feel are unsuitable for their children.

Our back-up Sunday venue, should the hotel be closed, is the Explore Library on Museum Street.

Hope to see you there!

    • Hello Tasha, thanks for your message. Regarding our York Feminist Network group, we meet on the second and fourth Sunday of every month at The Seahorse Hotel on Fawcett Street. We meet 11.00am onwards and all women are welcome to join us. We also have a Facebook group where people can post links to articles or kickstart discussions of feminist interest. Link to our FB group: We also have a reading group which currently meets every other month. Our reading group will next meet on Thursday 16 January at The Golden Ball pub on Cromwell Road. We meet at 7.00pm and will be discussing Anne Bronte’s The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Link to the reading group: There is also FemFilm – a monthly film screening that our group hosts. Link to FemFilm: I hope this helps!
